A friend was telling me recently about how his thoughts were manifesting around him and freaking him out. He said whenever he wonders about something, it happens. I told him he was invoking the Power of Wonder. I said to him that I have observed that when you wonder specifically or generally about something, the Wonder Working Creative Intelligence makes it happen. It's like a mathematical formula that never fails. The trick is to only wonder about what you love or want to experience otherwise the Wonder Worker will create it anyway.
So when I woke up this morning, I thought to myself, "I wonder what wonderful surprises Love has in store for me today?"
A few hours later, I received a text from a friend who lives in Ireland to let me know she's down in London attending a course at the weekend and wondered if I wanted to meet up. I told her I would love to as I haven't seen her since last year. We arranged to meet up the next day.
Yesterday, I was chatting to a Muslim friend who had been fasting but has now finished. I asked him whether they were having celebrations at Trafalgar Square (in central London) to mark the end of Ramadan. He said he didn't know. I wondered when they were having them.
Today, while I was at the library a friend, who usually keeps me up to date with all the free events in London, came looking for me to tell me about Eid in the Square, a festival at Trafalgar Square celebrating the end of Ramadan. He said it wasn't his cup of tea but thought I'd be interested. I told him I attended one festival years ago out of interest and I might attend this year if I'm in the area.
A few days ago, I watched a Youtube video about various animals who played dead when someone points their finger at them and says "bang!" I wondered how the animals knew how to do this. Have they been watching lots of crime dramas? Today, a friend sent me the same video. I told her I'd watched it before and have been wondering how the animals know how to play dead. She said she once trained her dog how to do it but the dog's tail was still wagging while he was "dead."
On the way home later, I wondered about the World Athletics Championship and whether Usain Bolt was running. I also wondered what interesting races they had this evening. As I was walking through the park, I met a friend walking his dog. He asked me if I've been watching Usain Bolt in the athletics. He said he'd just watched him qualify for the 200m final. I told him I'd been wondering about him. My friend also told me Mo Farah was running later. When I got home, I managed to catch the last 30 seconds of Mo Farah's 5,000m race, which he won.
Wonder never ceases to amaze me!
