When the satellite stopped working, my mother called the company to report the problem and asked for an engineer to come round. They advised her to switch it off and back on again, which she did. The customer adviser thought the fault could lie in the signal box. She received no further assistance. After my mother told me about this, I asked her to call them again. This time, she spoke to another adviser who told her the fault was in the communal satellite dish. I even spoke to the adviser and he was adamant the satellite dish was the problem and it wasn't the company's responsibility to fix it. He said if they sent an engineer round, the company will charge. I told him I didn't believe him and handed the phone back to my mother.
After my mother had finished speaking to the adviser, I told her I didn't believe the adviser and I believed he was fobbing her off. Mum even thought about giving up the satellite but there were some programmes she knew she would miss, particular the religious channels.
While mum was thinking about what to do, I thanked God for resolving the matter in a perfect way.
I then suggested to my mother to phone the company back and cancel her subscription. The company quickly changed their tune and made an appointment for an engineer to come round. The engineer swapped the box (which was quite old) for a new one. They even offered the box for free as they wanted to keep her business.
In the world, we are constantly being bombarded with information for us to accept as real such as: diets, diseases, ideologies, inventions, lifestyle choices, medicines, news, paradigms, policies, products, teachings, technologies, theories...and so much more. I believe it is up to each individual to choose whether to believe them or not.
What I believe is real in my experience; what I don't believe has no power or reality.
