Meeting Old and New Friends

Wow, it's been one of those days!  During my walk home, I met friends I haven't seen in ages.

When I saw my first friend and called  out to him, he rolled over on his back for me to tickle his tummy.  No, he wasn't human, he was a cat.  I asked him to come to me so I could say hello properly.  He then jumped on the ledge of the front garden. After giving him a few strokes, he was off.

Another cat friend was snoozing in front of his front door.  When I said hello, he opened one eye and then closed his eyes. I guess that was his way of acknowledging me.

Another cat friend was resting on top of a fence and trying to find a comfortable position to have a cat nap.  I called out but he ignored me. I then prodded him. He miaowed at me, which is unusual as he used to be the strong and silent type.  I then said hello and told him it was nice to see him again and then left him alone to his nap.

I saw two more cats on the way who I've never met before.  Both of them acknowledged me when I called out but didn't stop as they had things to do and places to go to, as cats do.

I then saw a human friend I haven't seen in a long time. He shook my hand and said he hasn't seen me in a while. He asked me how I was. After that, I had to go as I had things to do, and places to go, just like my cat friends.

I love meeting up with old and new friends, furry and human.
