While I was walking along the canal, I saw two men with two plastic bags full of bread which they were tossing into the river. One of them asked me if I'd seen the swans. I told them I'd seen them further down the river.
"They are such lazy swans!" the other one said.
"They are not lazy, they're just playing it cool!" I chuckled. "Just toss the bread in! They'll come and eat in their own time."
I've taken bread to that river lots of times. Sometimes the birds are around to eat and other times they are not there. But they do eat them.
River birds remind us not to worry about the future. They know they're going to get fed anyway by those who love them.
The Creator always sustains His creations.
