Homing Beacon

In the "Star Trek The Next Generation" episode called Brothers, Commander Data, the android, suddenly starts acting strangely and programmes the ship's computer to change course to another planet. He also programmes the computer to shut out the crew including the captain whose commands are no longer recognised by the computer. When the ship arrives at the destination, Data beams down to the planet and then finds himself at Noonien Soong's laboratory. Soong is actually Data's creator/father.

After Soong does something to Data to bring him back to normal, he tells Data that he had actually sent for him by activating a recall facility that was installed within him. Soong explains that as he's dying, he's decided to implant a chip in Data to enable him to experience emotions. In the meantime, Lore, Data's brother (the other android Soong had created) also arrives at the lab. He's also been recalled the same way. Things do not go too well with the brothers and Lore managers to steal the chip and escapes.

What I found interesting about that episode is the method that Noonien Soong used to call Data and Lore home.

I believe each of us has a homing beacon within us that the One/Creator has used to call everyone home. The call is to remember who we really are in essence. The One has devised various ways to help us "get home" i.e. wake up to our essence.

When I heard the call, I felt the urge to meditate even though I didn't know anything about it. I just thought it would be fun to do so. It was through meditation that my Magnificent Self was revealed to me. See Some Thoughts on Meditation

He who calls you will "guide you home" in a way that is perfect for you.
